15 1/2" Reginaphone
Double Comb, Short Bedplate
At the end of the music box era, when the phonograph became popular, Regina combined their musical movement with that of a phonograph movement. It was their last effort to 'stay in the market.' Eventually the phonograph companies won the battle. This machine has the original bracket to mount the tone arm and horn, both those removeable parts are missing (which is not unusual). Most people do not use the phono attachments very much anyway, preferring the original sound of the pure music box! The movement has a speed control.
This box is unrestored, but with all the rich, full sound you'd expect in a SHORT BEDPLATE, double comb Regina.
The case is oak serpentine and in excellent condition. The interior of the base has been painted black.
The machine comes with 20 discs.
